Abstract

Awareness of one's life path is a complex and multifaceted social-psychological phenomenon that reflects a person's ability to introspect, reflect on their life experiences, and make responsible decisions aimed at changing their destiny. A person's life path is a holistic phenomenon that is primarily determined by the individual's moral and ethical relationships with others and the world around them. The article presents an empirical study of the life plans of convicts. The issue of awareness of one's life path and life plans in individuals who are incarcerated takes on a special significance in modern penitentiary psychology. Studying the characteristics of a convicted individual's life plans can serve as an effective tool for fostering personal change and resocialization. In the long term, such work is important for improving public safety and creating a more sustainable system for re-socializing prisoners and helping them adapt to life after release.
