The academic journal "Social Sciences and Humanities. Domestic and Foreign Literature. Series 11: Sociology" was founded in 1991 and is published quarterly (4 issues per year) by the Institute of Scientific Information for Social Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INION). The journal proposes scientific informational and scientific analytical papers on topical issues of sociology. Issues of social theory, empirical sociological research, history of sociology are considered. All issues of the journal are thematic. In addition the journal has other important headings (sub-sections by branches of sociology, “Scholarly life”, “Curriculum: sociological classics”).
