Abstract

This review examines Chris Horsell's book "Utopian Thinking and Social Work" (2025), which explores the potential of utopian thinking as a tool for critical analysis in social work and social policy. Horsell criticizes the neoliberal approach in social policy and social work and proposes rehabilitating the possibilities of utopian imagination for designing a better future. This review examines the theoretical and practical significance of Horsell's work.
