The review covers the results of the All-Russian scien-tific and practical conference «Sociology of risk and security: current threats and search for answers» which was held in Krasnodar. The ex-perts' reports discussed social consequences of the unprecedented pace of the social change, revolution in the space of information and com-munication technologies, including the rapid development of artificial intelligence, geopolitical instability, the growing environmental disaster and other current issues that represent challenges and threats (global, local, global-local) to the stability and national security of Russia. The thematic diversity of the presentations made it possible to consider in detail the problematic field of the sociology of security in its various aspects.
