The article is devoted to the explanatory models of the correlation between international migration processes and sub-national regionalism. Based on empirical examples and on contemporary stud ies, the author tried to fill the gaps of this research subject. The patterns of influence of international migration on the structural features and intensity of sub-national regionalism are theoretically characterized, and the significance of structural factors of the regionalist community regarding the possibilities and intensity of international migration is theoretically analysed. The research focus also includes migration poli cy as a factor of sub-national regionalism and variations in migration strategies of regionalist actors.
