The paper is concerned with the diversity of the world
of human values, its transformation and evolution. It considers different
approaches to the understanding of values in the social and humanitarian sciences, with special attention paid to the concepts of traditional
and modern values. It is noted that it is not enough to study the value
world of an individual within the framework of only one scientific discipline – in this respect it is far more effective to apply interdisciplinary
and transdisciplinary approaches.
