This study aims to illustrate how ethnosociological problem situations are studied in regional scientific journals of the Russian Federation based on empirical research materials published in 2021–2023. Their analysis indicates that there is a wide range of such studies available that cover interethnic interactions, migration processes, issues related to ethnic identity formation, and socio-cultural issues related to the development of ethnic groups within the country's regions. The article reveals the heuristic possibilities of applying quantitative and qualitative methods in ethnosociological research, statistical methods of data processing and analysis. Our study concludes that it is necessary to broaden the scope of such studies in order to enhance the effectiveness of the public administration of ethnosocial processes in our country.
