The ethno-social questions are particularly acute in today's
world, which is torn by a multitude of conflicts. The paper considers
the problems relevant for the 21st century not only for mononational,
but also for multinational states (including Russia), characterised
by a diversity of languages, ethnicities, traditions and cultures.
