We review a book by British political scientists J. Boswell, J. Corbett, and R.A.W. Rhodes, «The art and craft of comparison», in which the authors propose their own model of comparative social analysis. This model is based on the interpretation of the meaning of actions in situations where actors are faced with di-lemmas. In addition to considering theoretical issues, the authors pro-vide methodological and practical guidelines for working with the col-lection, analysis, and description of empirical data.
