The reviewed book contains results of a study of the relations between knowledge and civil society. The present analysis of extensive empirical data, carried out using various theoretical ap-proaches, broadens the range of ideas about civil society, demonstrating a modern vision of the concept of civil society in the context of creation, interpretation and dissemination of knowledge.
