The book, prepared under the direction of Professor Vladimir Ilyin from St. Petersburg State University, describes the life of an informal intimate couple. The empirical data for the study were col-lected and analysed over the course of 10 years. The authors consider the main stages which intimate couples go through, study forms of intimate couples and the factors that affect the partners’ behaviour and the life strategies they choose.
