Older adults during the COVID-19 pandemic. (Literature review)

Abstract

One of the most prominent global events of 2020–2021 is the coronavirus pandemic while one of the social groups affected the most by the pandemic is older adults. The authors of the articles included in this review consider some significant issues characterizing older adults’ experience and society’s interaction with them during this time: how older adults make sense of the new reality and cope with it; how others perceive them through the prism of the coronavirus crisis; post-pandemic prospects (particularly the future of services for older people).
