New realities of modern Russian society (Review of the XVII Kovalevsky Readings)

Abstract

The article presented by the authors is devoted to the comprehensive coverage of the All-Russian Scientific Conference “XVII Kovalevsky Readings” held on November 16–18, 2023 within the walls of St. Petersburg State University (SPbU). The topic of these readings was «Russian society today: values, institutions, processes». There were twelve sections and one round table. A distinctive feature of these, as well as of Kovalevsky readings, is the constantly increasing number of young scientists. A considerable number of reports were pre sented at the conference, the general theme of which was devoted to the value and consolidation foundations of Russian society. Another part of the reports carried a focus on “digital technologies” and their impact on various industries and spheres of an individual's life. But not only were there reports on these topics, for example, works were presented on var ious aspects of labor relations, employee motivation, precariousness of employment in Russia, employment of graduates of higher and second ary specialized educational institutions in our country.
