The well-being of young people is one of the urgent
problems of our time. As sociological studies of the last decade show,
unemployment among the young population is growing. The term
NEET (Not in employment, education, or training) is used to describe
the unemployed young population. The review presents the works of
contemporary Western sociologists analyzing the causes of social
disadvantage of young people in European countries.
