This review introduces innovative methods of analyzing everyday life in contemporary European sociology and human geography. The main focus is on empirical projects of qualitative study of various aspects of the routine – as materialized characteristics of habitual actions, captured in objects and relations, in space and time, in memories, tactile, visual and auditory images. The aim of such projects is to reveal the social components of everyday life, which most often remain latent.
